Huqingyutang Traditional Chinese Medicine Muesum (Huqingyutang Zhongyi Bowuguan) is located in Dajing lane under the Wushan Mountain in Hangzhou. It is the Chinese medicine specialized museum founded in 1874. The museum together with Beijing Tongrentang (Herbal Medicine Shop), are called the famous north and south ancient medicine shop of the nation.

The Thousand Islands Lake (Qiandao Hu), located in the Chun’an County of Hangzhou, is an artificial lake formed when the Xin’an River water-powered station was constructed in 1959. There are many small islands in the lake, with more than 398 islands located in the lake. The word “Qiandao” means “a thousand islands” in Chinese. But there are not actually 1000 islands in the lake. People call it “The Thousand Islands Lake” to show the total amount is large. Many small islands in the lake, with a green trees and grass in these islands, often give people an impression of joy and happiness. And some islands have many birds, called “Birds Island” by people. The mountains around the whole lake are full of green trees and grass; about 81% of these mountains are covered by trees and grass. These islands and the mountains are formed a forest park, with 1,786 plants. Tea, bamboo and rare trees are the local products of this place.

There is a famous cave named Yanxia Cave at the foot of Mt. Jiuzong on which Zhaoling Mausoleum of Tang dynasty is located. At the time of Emperor Wudi of the Western Han dynasty, there was an excellent scholar, Zheng Zizhen, whose name was widely spread in the capital. Out of admiration for the densely wooded green Mt. Jiuzong among the cloud and mist, he resigned from his post and retreated to the mountain. The Stone House cave, Shuile cave and Yanxia Cave made up the wonderful three caves in Yanxia Mountain. A quiet and beautiful place with clear winding streams flowing westward, it is really a good holiday resort like the earthly paradise for tourists.

Nine Streams and Eighteen Gullys (Jiuxi Shibajian) are located on the south side of Longjing. It is 10 kilometers from the West Lake. The length of the area spans 6 kilometers. The mountain is deep and the forest is flourishing, the winding peaks twining and turning. It mirrors a picture of the brook, water, tree and scenery.

On the north of West Lake lies the 1 kilometer long Bai Causeway. It is also known as “Mr. Bai’s Dike” (Baigong Di), after Bai Juyi, a famous poet from the Tang period (618-907). It started from near the Broken Bridge (Duanqiao) and ended on the Pinghu Qiuyue, which is a famous scenic spot on the West Lake, which refers to the Pavilion of the Autumn Moon on the Calm Lake.

Mogan Mountain is famous for its bamboo, cloud and spring. Located in Deqing County of Huzhou City in northeastern Zhejiang Province, Mogan Mountain is covered with lush fresh bamboo. The cloud is changeable. Sometimes it looks like cotton and sometimes ribbons. Springs are another great feature of the mountain. China Silk Museum is situated on the north of Yuhuang Mountain in Hangzhou. The area is about 48,000 square meters. It demonstrated the country’s silk culture and the development achievement of more than 5,000 years. The silk museum is magnificent; the floor space is about 10,000 square meters.
