Jiuhua Mountain’s original name is Jiuzishan. The great poet Li Bai praised its lotus blooms-like peaks of Mt. Jiuhua Mountain scenery the verse of “the intelligential pea open Jiuhua Mountain “, hence the name. Mt. Jiuhua, Mt. Emeishan, Mt. Wutaishan and Mt. Putuoshan became four great Buddhist Mountains in China. It has “lotus flower Buddhist country” reputation. It has already opened five big scenic areas such as Shanqian, Jiuhua Street, MinYuan Garden, Tantaii and the flower platform. The circle path is 30 kilometers and the scenic spot total area is about 120 square kilometers. There are 94 extant temples, with almost 700 Buddhist monks and nuns.
The Jiuhua Buddhism history is glorious. It spreads into china in Jin Dynasty and was popular for a period in Tang Dynasty. Famous monk Jin Qiaojue practiced Buddhism here during the Tang rein Kaiyuan and the Xinluo Country (now known as North Korea). Jin Qiaojue was respected as the Earth Buddha by the locals; hence Mt. Jiuhua became the place where religious rituals were held to worship the God of Earth.
Jiuhua Mountain is famous with the reputation of “incense and candle is the best in the world” and “First mountain of Southeast”. The Buddhism believers worship the Holy Land.
Jiuhua Mountain’s scenery is very famous; the old record says “Jiuhua ten sceneries”: Tiantai dawn , Huacheng night clock, sitting on the east cliff, high pole with immortal trace, peach crag waterfall, lotus peak cloud sea, flat hillock with snow, Shutan against moon, Jiusishan springs sound and five brooks mountain color. In addition, there is the Longchi Waterfall, MinYuan garden and bamboos, the manna is attractive, skyscraper palace, the gathering of beautiful flowers, the lion peak forest, the clear ditch, fish and dragon cave, phoenix ancient pine and so on.

Spanning on Lian River, Yuliang Dam (Yuliangba) is the oldest and largest-scale dam on the upper Xin’an River. The dam holds up Lian River. The river is calm on one side while it flows fast on the other side.

The Dragon Well Mountain lies to the south and an old street to its north. The narrow old street is paved with bluestone and the constructions along the street are built in typical Amhui’s style houses. There are many paths leading to the river. Stepping down the stone steps, you can reach Yuliang Dam.

Zhangshan Grand Canyon is located on the Dazhang Mountain, east of the Jixi County in Anhui. Dazhang Mountain is the United Nations ecology model district. The forest bestows rate reaches 97%. It was known by the name of Santianzi capital, SanWang Shan and the Zhang Peak during the ancient time. The Zhang County was established during the Chun and Qiu Period when Wu and Yue Kingdom divided line by this and in was named after the mountain during the Qin Dynasty.
The Zhangshan Grand Canyon scenic area geography climate is special. It is one of the few in number in the united nation plant gene banks and has 43 types of rare and precious species. The canyon water is limpid and clear. More than 50 scenic areas have their own characteristics and legends in the scenic area. The mysterious nature causes it to become the natural back park of Suzhou Province, Zhengjiang Province and Shanghai.

It is located in Ta County, 26 kilometers from TunXi and about 5 kilometers from Ta County. There are altogether seven Tangyue gateways; three in the Ming Dynasty and four in the Qing Dynasty.

Hundred-step Cloud Ladder is located on the northwest cliff of the Lotus Peak. There are two big stones not far away from “the lotus stem”. One of them looks like a turtle while the other looks like snake. The two stones are parallel. 100 levels of precipitous steep steps is caved on the cliff, passing through two stones. You would feel as though leaning on the cliff on the long ladders, with deep abyss when you look down from opposite the Aoyu Hole.

Yingke Pine (Receiving Guests Pine) is on the left of the Yuping building next to the lion stone. The height is 10 meters and the chest diameter is 0.64 meter. The age of the tree is at least i800 years. One of the branches stretches out like a person’s outstretching arms welcoming the visitors from all places and the posture is exquisite. It is Yellow Mountains’ symbolic landscape.
There is Yellow Mountains’ Yingke Pine’s giant iron picture in the Great Hall of the People Anhui hall. The party and the national leader take a group photo with the foreign visitors many times in front of the iron picture. Yellow Mountains’ Yingke Pine not only symbolizes Yellow Mountains’, but also symbolizes the Chineses’ warm hospitability. In 1994 the Great Hall of the People East hall also hung the traditional Chinese painting “Yingke Pine”. The author was the Yellow Mountain nationality painter Liu Hui.

The hot spring scenic area is the first scenic area upon entering Yellow Mountains from the south gate. It is located among the elevation of 600-700 meter group peaks and canyons. Beautiful spring and clear water is a unique characteristic of the hot spring scenic area. The hot spring is one of the famous “Four Views of the Yellow Mountains” and famous spring in china. There are hot spring bathroom and hot spring swimming pool in the room for the visits to clear away fatigue, cure diseases and exercising. From time to time the running water that looks like jade flow the entire boundary of Peach Blossom Brook, the White Clouds Brook and the Tangquan Brook. The Peach Blossom Pool, Blue Dragon Pool and White Dragon Pool in the brook resemble jadeite. The Renzi waterfall and the Baizhang waterfall flow straight and earn loads of praise. The Sandie Springs, the Mingxian Spring and the Luoxing Spring are mysterious. The brook, the spring and the waterfall are like a huge musical instrument playing wonderful music. The multitudinous springs and waterfalls add infinite vitality for the entire scenic area.

Peace Lake lies on the gold traveling line. It is rich in traveling resources with the advantage of the lake and mountain scenery, uninterrupted green hill, graceful water and limpid and blue lake. The islands scattered like pearls and it has the reputations of “the Yellow Mountains lover”, “the Chinese jadeite”, “the world pearl” and “the Eastern Geneva Lake”. The renowned poet Su Wang praises: “The Tianchi Pond does not possess the kindness, Tai Lake does not possess the serenity, the San Xia equals the green jade, the Lijiang River does not possess the cloud, the Fuchun River does not possess the grand tallness and cold, West Lake does not possess this mind, Qian Long does not possess the bless of seeing the rare sights, Jiangnan does not possess such water”.

Xidi County,located at the south part of Anhui Province, 41 kilometers from Huangshan Scenic Area. It was built at Huangyou Time, The North Song Dynasty and has a history of over 950 years. Xidi was named as Xichuan or Xixiin ancient time.

Xixi was named to indicate the three streams in the village flowing from east to west. Due to the Xidi store ever founded at the west of the village, it was renamed to Xidi. There were 300 local dwellings with tremendous brick, wood and stone carvings scattered.

At present, the places available for visitors are the memorial archway for feudal prefectural governor Hu Wenguang, Jiang’an Hall and Zhuimu Hall, two temples of Hu’s, Dafudi, Ruiyu Hall and Lvfu Hall.

Xidi village, contributed to its long history, primitive simplicity, elegance and beautiful scene, was listed into the “World Cultural Heritage Sites” by UNESCO in 2000.

Qiyun Mountain is so named because of “the stone is as high as the sky and the cloud”. It is a mountain scenic spot with the Taoism culture and Danxia landform characteristics. In history, it has the reputation of “the first Baiyue Huangshan Mountain in Chiangnan”. Qiyun Mountain was built with mountaineering cable way where the journey for tourists to ascend the summit and descending the mountain on foot along the cable way takes only half a day.
