Fuzhou Kwan-yin Cabinet, Guanyin Ge
The Kwan Yin Cabinet is located on Yu Mountain and is also named as Kwan Yin Pavilion. The name was changed to Wanshou Kiosk in Kangxi 52nd year of Qing dynasty (1713). The cabinet was the place where the officers pay their respect to the former emperors.
There is a stele engraved with “Yuqiandashichushantu” behind the palace which described the story of Goddess of Mercy went out of the mountain and changed from a man to a woman.
Presently it is the museum of Fuzhou. There is an old banyan growing on the east side of the palace where the root looks very strange. There were a lot of carvings by famous people on the cliff.
