Hefei Ten Thousand Buddhas Lake, Wan Fo Hu

Ten Thousand Buddhas Lake (Wan Fo Hu) was originally named Longhekou reservoir. It is located in the mid of Shucheng County of Anhui Province. The distance is 30 kilometers from the county center. It is an important project constituent in PiShiHang.

The scenic area is 135 square kilometer and the surface of the lake is 50 square kilometers. There are more than 60 islands on the lake such as Jinhua Island, human character island, Rose Island and Egret Island.

Surrounding the lake are the first artificial earth stone dam evaluated by the United Nations Dam Committee in the world, Three Kingdoms great soldier– Zhou Yu’s ancestral grave, Zuci Islands, “five old view primal chaos”, “the Meishan dawn smoke”, “the sleeping beauty”, “the human head’s horse”, “the trunk mountain” and so on landscapes.

It is an integrated centre for science collection and inspection, seeking ancient and quietness, beautiful scenery and leisure vacation scenic spot area.
